Jenny Craig Pavilion

The Jenny Craig Pavilion was named after Jenny Craig, the famous weight loss trainer. It was opened to the public on October 5, 2000 and over 2,000 people attended the great opening ceremony, including Jenny and Sid Craig. On that special occasion, besides the delicious food on the Eagan Plaza, a student called Boyd McGowan was lucky enough to unveil the new mascot of the University of San Diego and win a 10,000 dollars tuition credit. The university’s mascot is an inflatable Torero, 10 foot tall.

The Jenny Craig Pavilion offers 5,100 seats to all those who love basketball and volleyball. This is the best facility of its type in the West Coast. The Jenny Craig Pavilion housed the men’s basketball tournament from 2001 to 2003.

But the Jenny Craig Pavilion isn’t used only for sport events. It is also a cultural center for the whole University of San Diego.
